Studentensiedlung / Stusie

The student village “Studentensiedlung am Seepark” (Stusie) is nestled between a park and a lake in the west of Freiburg. With around 1,500 students, Stusie is the largest student village and offers a number of different types of apartments and WG-style apartments (flat-sharing communities). WG-style apartments house from 4 to 6 students or up to 12 students share the same floor with common kitchen and bathroom facilities. Efficiencies are available. (Please note: The efficiencies in the Stusie have stove-top burners but no oven. If you are a passionate baker, this may not be for you.)

All of the Stusie buildings have been recently renovated. Many were built in the 1960s but there will be some very recent additions as of the fall of 2019.

The “Stusie-Bar” is loved by many students and the student community offers a vast number of leisure and sport facilities which can prove to be a welcome change to studying. Additionally, Stusie has a community center, music room, dark room, weight room, bike repair shop and much more. More information about events held at StuSie can be found on its website.

By bike or by tram, the city center is reachable within 10 minutes.

Arriving at Studentensiedlung am Seepark

From the tram stop on the bridge overlooking the main train station (Hauptbahnhof)

• Take tram 1 in the direction of “Landwasser” and get off at the fourth stop, “Am Bischofskreuz”
• The Studentensiedlung is across the street on the other side of the tram stop
