AYF Reunion Update and “Willkommen” to our Spring 2023 Newsletter!
Dear AYF and JYF Alumni!
While enjoying a little university break following Pentecost, we are happy to send you our second AYF Alumni Newsletters for the Academic Year 2022-23. It provides an update of the Anniversary Reunion in July – festivities which are a mere six weeks away!
As of now, about 110 alumni, families, and friends have registered! More Reunion details have been clarified in the meantime and some events had to be adjusted. But most importantly:
- The registration deadline has been moved to June 15!
If you have been thinking about joining the party, now is the time to finalize your plans and register.
We all know from first-hand experience how crucial travel is toward broadening one’s horizon. In that spirit, our current AYF student Tara reflects on her life in Freiburg and the unparalleled freedom that Semesterferien grant the curious traveler to roam.
While Tara writes of personal explorations, we have also just returned from a jam-packed field trip with our current cohort and send you our students’ greetings from the Bundestag:

- An Update on the AYF Reunion 2023 and Anniversary Celebration from July 6-10, 2023 and two student profiles.
- Tara’s impressions of her first months in AYF and how Freiburg became her personal Gateway to the World
- Neil’s experience working at Kastaniengarten, the Biergarten that is part of our Reunion schedule.

And please stop by and visit when your travels bring you back to Freiburg – perhaps as soon as July at our AYF @ 60+3 Reunion and Anniversary Celebration!
