Student Activities
As our current students you are the experts on Freiburg and all the exciting things one can do here – or you will be experts very soon!
But just to start you off, below you’ll find a general list of student activities for German and international students in Freiburg. It is a good starting point for getting involved during your Academic Year in Freiburg but, of course, there are many more formal and informal student groups than those listed here.

| Studium Generale | Courses, lectures, concerts, tours, etc. offered outside of classes with the goal of starting public discussion on important topics. Many of them are free and open to the public. |

| SWFR Tandem-Service | International Students Club’s service for helping language learners (of German and other languages) find native speakers who wish to share their linguistic knowledge. |

University of Freiburg’s English Department drama group which hosts one English-language theatrical performance per semester. |
| Intramural Sports Program | Especially team sports are usually free of charge, and AYF students are most welcome to participate. |

| Freiburg-Madison-Gesellschaft | Sister city club supporting the Freiburg – Madison connection. The FMG offers regular meetings on German-American subjects and hosts special events for AYF students. |
