Dear JYF and AYF Alumni,

With sadness, we share with you an update today about the AYF program’s suspension for the summer semester 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The impact of the program’s suspension is most keenly felt by our students who had to return home on short notice. 

We are deeply grateful for the AYF Alumni Club’s Fundraising Initiative to help our recently returned students. The Alumni Club calls on all of us to help mitigate the financial impacts. We are happy to share their fundraising letter below and thank you in advance for any support you may be able to give.

Many of you must be wondering how this affects our 60-year anniversary celebration and reunion 2020. As a preview, this email brings you a detailed schedule of planned events as well as information on how registration will work - once it can take place. Whether the Reunion can be held as planned in July, is currently an open question. We will provide updates as soon as possible. 

Standing in for many JYF and AYF alumni working to get us through the pandemic, one brave RN and AYF alumna offers a sobering personal account of her current life on a COVID-19 ward.
