Today’s alumni newsletter contains an invitation to our Big Anniversary Celebration and Reunion 2023. Program information is on the website, and the Registration for next July is up and running!

Tracy fondly recalls last July’s Reunion. Students contribute pieces about Schauinsland and a pedagogy project that touches on continuing pandemic effects experienced by students.

As the Russian war against Ukraine grinds on and winter itself is being weaponized, Freiburg’s solidarity with our sister city Lviv remains strong as our students learned from Freiburg’s Mayor Martin Horn. They also had a chance to discuss their experiences as study abroad students and to talk about politics and history in the making with U.S. Ambassador Dr. Amy Gutmann and Ukrainian refugees.

As our students engage with the world around them, there is a lot of good cheer, camaraderie and supporting each other at AYF, and we are looking ahead to the new year with gratitude and a sense of potential.
